The meeting was started with a welcome speech by Dr. Rafat Bagherzadeh, Deputy of International Affairs, and Dr. Aryan Khesal, Deputy of Education who also provided a brief explanation about the effect of COVID-19 on our educational system.
Dr. Erfanmanesh started his speech with an introduction about the strategies used by government to mitigate the transmission of COVID-19 in Canada and continued addressing the following topics:

- the effect of CIVID-19 on higher education institutions in Canada
- the platforms and learning management systems used by universities for online teaching
- the software used during online exams to monitor students and reduce cheating.
- the studies conducted to explore the levels of satisfaction concerning online teaching and learning among students and faculties
- the facilities provided for students to facilitate learning (such as laptop loan programs)
- the effect of CIVID-19 on mental health and wellness of the students and staff and counselling services provided by universities
- the number of international students after CIVID-19 and its financial impact
- the effect of CIVID-19 on work placement, employment and job prospects
He concluded his speech by talking about the impact of CIVID-19 on students’ research performance
The webinar was coordinated by Dr. Leila Nemati Anaraki the head of Educational Development Office (Edo) and her colleague Dr. Maryam Soleimani.
There were about 100 faculties and postgraduate students attending the webinar. The session ended at 17:30 and the participants raised their questions during the last 10 minutes.
