Expanding International Collaboration Webinar
The first webinar by PhD students at the school of Health Management and Information Sciences was held on Saturday 18th of Ordibehesht. The webinar was attended by 35 MSc and PhD students. Zeinab Foroughi, PhD student of Health policy addressed issues, such as the reasons for attending international events, global health and types of scholarships. Sedighe Hosseini Jebeli, PhD student in health economics and national consultant at United Nation Development Program, provided information on how students can collaborate with UN agencies. Moreover, She talked about the United Nation system and agencies related to health and development, namely UNDP, UNICEF, and UNAIDS. Ali Nemati, PhD student of Health Services Management elaborated on essential competencies needed for students to collaborate with international organization, like communication, teamwork, planning and organization, and accountability. During the webinar enough time was devoted to questions and answers.
